Community Development Officer, Clean Energy
  • Center for Climate and Community

As a part of Island Institute’s Center for Climate and Community, Marie supports our mission by providing technical and strategic support to communities seeking cleaner, more resilient energy solutions. She applies her skills in data translation and geographic information systems (GIS) to her work.

Raised in Maryland, Marie moved to Maine to attend school at Bowdoin College where she majored in environmental studies. She also earned a GIS certificate from Penn State University. Before joining Island Institute, she worked on the project development team at Ocean Renewable Power Company, a marine renewable energy company.

Marie lives in Portland with her boyfriend, and she enjoys skiing, kayaking, and exploring the food scene in Maine. She also plays the piano, considers herself an amateur birder, and dabbles in fishing and hunting.
