Julia is the Marketing Coordinator for Archipelago and serves on both the Marketing and Archipelago teams. Managing the Archipelago online store, email marketing, and social media, she tells the stories of the artists and makers who sell their work at Archipelago and creates ties between the creative economy and the greater Island Institute mission.

Originally from the Czech Republic, Julia has long had family ties to Prince Edward Island. She came to New England for college, studying biology and art at Williams College in Western Massachusetts. She has worked in design and marketing for an art museum and for a public library and has also spent time doing freelance marketing and design. She received her Master’s of Fine Arts in Visual Art from The Ohio State University. Julia moved to Maine because she was inspired by our state’s natural beauty and inspiring landscapes.

Outside of work, she is also a film photographer, an avid clammer, and enjoys spending time in nature with her dog Vaclav. She lives with her husband in Bath.
