As the Executive Administrative Assistant, Julia supports the Island Institute by maintaining organization and standardizing processes. She uses her skills to overcome communication barriers and streamline systems between groups—including for the Board of Trustees and the Senior Leadership Team.
Julia’s background is in marketing, customer experience, and operational support with a focus on clear, accessible, and structured processes and communication. She began her career in Baltimore, MD working for a patient education software company, she served as the Operations and Communications Manager at a sustainable produce delivery service focused on fighting food waste, and she later worked for the same company as the Director of Customer Experience and Retention. Julia grew up in Washington, DC and is now a resident of Midcoast Maine. She enjoys hiking, reading, and exploring her new home with her partner.
