Elizabeth (Liz) Dudley (Monhegan Fellow, Monhegan Plantation): Elizabeth will be collaborating with Monhegan Plantation on a working waterfront resiliency project as the plantation redesigns their public wharf and breakwater as well as shores up other waterfront access areas. This may include working with a firm to design for sea level rise and increased storm surge pressure. Simultaneously, Elizabeth will work with the local community in addition to state and county partners to evaluate Monhegan’s housing in an effort create more year-round affordable housing. Elizabeth joins the Island Institute from Atlanta, Georgia, where she completed her Master’s degree and worked as a policy researcher.
