In her role as a Community Development Officer, Lisa provides project management and community engagement support to multiple project teams at the Island Institute, including our Marine Economy, Small Business, and Climate & Energy teams. She serves as the project lead for the Marine Economy team, which includes meeting facilitation and budget management for the team, as well as project management of the EDA Marine Resources Economy Initiative (SEAMaine).
Prior to this role, Lisa served as the product coordinator for Archipelago, where she was responsible for managing Archipelago’s product inventory, updating the store website, processing web orders, and assisting with wholesale purchasing.
Before joining the Island Institute, she worked in organic agriculture, as the head seed grower for a biodynamic seed company in upstate New York. She moved to Maine in the fall of 2017 to be closer to family and friends and reconnect with her roots. In her free time, Lisa enjoys exploring the area with her friends and their dogs, practicing yoga, and drinking copious amounts of tea. A lover of raw oysters, she couldn’t be more psyched to live on the coast of Maine!
