Ginny is responsible for managing the day-to day-accounting activities of Island Institute, including preparing for annual audits, providing advice in areas of compliance, preparing and interpreting budgets, and offering additional financial support as it arises.

Prior to joining the Island Institute, Ginny worked extensively in local government in midcoast Maine, serving as the county clerk and deputy county administrator for Knox County, as well as the finance director for the municipalities of Rockport, Camden, and Rockland. She has a wealth of knowledge in budget preparation, capital assets planning, and all facets of financial management. Ginny and her husband, Wayne, live in South Thomaston.
