As the Island Institute’s graphic designer, Sharon is responsible for the design, production, and management of projects that enhance the visibility of the organization, support the Island Institute brand, and advance our mission. She designs a wide variety of print and digital publications, including The Working Waterfront, the Island Journal, and materials that support our projects, events, and internal communications.
A highly skilled graphic designer, Sharon has experience in all disciplines of design, including digital, magazine, and print. She previously worked for firms such as Diversified Business Communications and Media Unlimited, and was a freelance designer for over 25 years. In addition to her design skills, Sharon is also a writer, photographer, illustrator, and publisher who shares a true passion for the coast of Maine.
Prior to joining the Island Institute, Sharon lived on the West Coast and is very excited about returning to Maine.
