Genevieve Bristol(she,her,hers)

Membership Coordinator
  • Philanthropy

As the Island Institute’s Membership Coordinator, Genevieve is the primary point of contact for our donors and assists in fundraising efforts, specifically in the areas of annual giving and stewardship. She is passionate about strengthening communities along the Maine coast and is excited to connect our donors to the people and places they support every day.

Genevieve earned bachelor’s degrees in anthropology and art history from the University of Maine. During her undergraduate program she was a research assistant for the University of Maine Anthropology Department in conjunction with SEANET/EPSCoR, where she worked with Maine’s coastal communities to understand perspectives on aquaculture and inadvertently fell in love with Maine’s coast. Prior to her job as the membership coordinator, she worked as the product coordinator at Archipelago and completed an internship at the Zillman Art Museum in Bangor, where she enjoyed working with Maine’s creative economy.

When not working, you can find Genevieve exploring and photographing the many beautiful places the Midcoast has to offer. She is excited to call Maine her home.
