Impact Fund Strategist

Alli is responsible for designing and implementing the organization’s approach to social impact investing to help the Island Institute meet community needs across the Strengthening Community Economies strategic priority area.

Prior to joining the Island Institute, she served as a principal at Cultivation Capital, a venture-capital firm, as well as the founder and CEO of a clean-tech software platform that served 2,500+ recycling firms in 18 countries. She also co-founded two organizations to assist female entrepreneurs—Women Entrepreneurs of St. Louis (WEST) St. Louis, MO, and Female Entrepreneurs of the World (FEW) in Santiago, Chile.

Alli earned her MBA from Saint Louis University in St. Louis, MO, and holds a BS in Biology from San Diego State University, where she focused her studies in underwater ecology as a NAUI Master Diver and CSU underwater researcher.

She has provided Board service to venture-backed companies through multiple investment series, is a Business Journal “30 Under 30” honoree, and enjoys mentoring entrepreneurs on fundraising and growth strategy.
