Mike Herbert has worked at the Island Institute since 1997. He handles all distribution, sales and wholesale marketing of Island Institute Publications, including the Working Waterfront newspaper and the annual Island Journal.

 

Mike is married to Jody Herbert, the Island Institute's Membership Manager, and they have 2 teenage daughters, Julie and Jenny. They are residents of Rockland and part-time residents of Islesboro, Maine. Mike graduated from the University of Maine at Orono with B.S. degrees in Recreation and Parks Management (1980) and Secondary Education (1987). He also has an Advanced Studies Program (A.S.P.) degree from Moody Bible Institute (1981).
