Jody Herbert

 

Jody Herbert began working at Island Institute in 1995 as a receptionist.  She enjoyed working on membership projects and moved into that department a year later.  Jody has been coordinating all membership efforts for the past 12 years.  Her title changed to Membership Manager in 2005 and she is in charge of the database of 4,800 members. 

 

Jody checks daily data entry of all membership and gift information and sends out 90% of the solicitation and acknowledgment letters.  She handles reporting from the donor database and reconciles with other departments.  Jody and her assistant make sure all members receive their monthly Working Waterfront newspaper and annual Island Journal if they choose those benefits.
