David Tyler

 

David joins the Island Institute as publications director this July, and he will be responsible for editing the monthly "Working Waterfront," the annual magazine, "Island Journal" and other publications projects.  The former co-publisher and co-founder of the "Island Times" in Casco Bay, David has a long journalism career with experience as a reporter, associate editor, and freelance writer.  He has been a regular contributor to Island Institute publications.   David’s first book, Maine’s Casco Bay Islands: A Guide, was published by Downeast Press in 2007.   David resides in Warren and graduated from Connecticut College with a degree in English and American History.
