Other Publications
Since its inception, the Island Institute has been known for his publications; not only the Island Journal and The Working Waterfront, but a rich, highly researched wealth of information presented in reports, "white papers", books and other published documents.
Reflecting Issues and Interests
The diverse nature of the Institute's publications - from satellite mapping to fisheries - reflects the complex and varied issues and interests that abound along the Gulf of Maine. Many of our publications are reports on research projects that Institute staff have led; some are highlights from significant Institute programs; others are works by authors who touch on the unique stories that only island and working-waterfront communities have to tell. All mirror the commitment that the Institute has made to helping sustain these special places for future generations.
