The Westward was towed off rocks on Jan. 9 and was headed to Portland, the Boothbay Register newspaper reported.
The vessel has been a problem for the town, repeatedly breaking loose.

It's more than a building. That was the point speakers made at the May 1 dedication of Maine Maritime Academy's new ABS Center for Engineering, Science and Research.
"Roughly three-fifths of voters approved LMF bonds in 2010 and 2012," the paper reports.
In addition to critical structural work on the tower, the lighthouse committee is looking to replace the fog bell that originally accompanied the light.
