November 17th: Fox Islands Wind Ribbon Cutting

Fox Islands Wind and its partners are planning a community celebration at the project site for Tuesday, November 17th from 10:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m., with an informal buffet lunch to follow from 11:30am until 1 p.m.  Federal, state and local officials will join us as we flip the switch on the project, and we hope that you’ll be there for this historic event as well.  The ceremony will take place rain or shine as we will have a tent with heaters to keep everyone warm and dry.  Transportation will be provided from Vinalhaven’s ferry terminal and North Landing starting at 9:45 a.m.  More details on the day’s logistics will be posted in the coming weeks but questions may also be directed to 594-9209 ext 144 or fiwindpower@islandinstitute.org.
