Islesboro Community Center Planning Fellow Placement Opportunity

Islesboro Community Center (ICC) is applying for an Island Fellow to serve as the program and volunteer coordinator in the new Islesboro Community Hall building to be opened in fall 2008.

The Fellow will have an enormous impact on the success of the Community Hall during its critical first year.  Well-managed programs will be the primary source of support- both financial and participatory- for the center, while a strong volunteer core will be essential for daily operations.  The Fellow will work closely with the Executive Director and Community Advisory Group to research, design and establish a schedule of activities at the Community Hall.  He or she will also develop a close relationship with current volunteers and pursue the recruitment of new volunteers.  As varying needs and interests arise, the Fellow will evaluate and adapt programs appropriately.
