Come visit us at the Boat Show!

This year, the Island Institute will have a booth in the "Build Green Maine" tent near the west entrance of the show.  We'll be there with other organizations and businesses that offer services and resources in such areas as wind power, solar power, sustainable agriculture and fishing, biofuels and more. Please come by and say hello!

We'll also be giving a talk at the Harbormaster's Office/Rockland Yacht Club on Friday, August 7^th at 4:00 p.m. on our initiatives in wind power, sustainable island agriculture and fisheries management.  For more info, please call 207-594-9209.

Also at the show: a model-yacht pond, live music, a marine-activities area for the kids, fine Maine food, the running of the 7th Annual World Championship Boatyard Dog® Trials (Sunday at 10:30), and the Great Pen Bay Zucchini Boat Regatta (Saturday at 2:00).
