Congresswoman Chellie Pingree authored an amendment to a landmark national service bill (the GIVE Act.) Congresswoman Pingree's amendment encourages service and volunteerism on projects creating clean energy projects in rural America.

The Amendment passed 388 to 36 with widespread bipartisan support.
