Four-Season Island Agriculture Fund
This small-grant program is designed to support sustainable-agriculture projects in Maine’s 15 unbridged year-round island communities.

About the Fund:
Made possible by a generous grant from the 1772 Foundation, the fund seeks to support farming/gardening projects that contribute towards increasing the amount of locally produced food, and/or raising awareness about island-based agricultural efforts and heritage.
Since the program launched in 2009, the fund has made 25 awards totaling $20,000 in giving to island farms, schools, and community gardens. .
We are not currently soliciting applications for the Four-Season Island Agriculture Fund. For questions or to discuss ideas for future island agriculture support please contact: silgrants@islandinstitute.org.
