Join Damariscotta oyster farmers, area businesses, and local nonprofits on June 13-15 for the 2nd Annual Damariscotta Oyster Celebration. With an expanded event schedule and competitions that will host top-tier chefs, world record-holding oyster shuckers, and oyster lovers of all ages, the three-day celebration is designed to educate and inspire oyster culinary innovations in food, drink and culture.

International Oyster Chef of the Year Competition
Hosted at the Boothbay Harbor Oceanside Golf Resort overlooking Boothbay Harbor, the competition features eight chef innovators creating breakthrough oyster recipes that will be sampled by event attendees. This year’s competition includes two categories with raw and baked chef creations. Pairings of wine, beer and spirits along with other craft food delicacies from region.

Deals, Demos, and Open Houses
10:00 a.m. Friday – 4:00 p.m. Saturday
Tour oyster farms along the river, experience aquaculture demos, and take advantage of food & beverage deals at local businesses! Takes place at locations throughout Boothbay, Newcastle, Edgecomb, and South Bristol.
