Broadband for Island and Coastal Sustainability Summit Tuesday, March 27, 2018, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. University of Maine Hutchinson Center
Note: Summit Reception will occur the evening before – more details coming soon.
Recognized for being a needed catalyst in community-driven broadband projects, the Broadband for Island and Coastal Sustainability Summit provides the opportunity for rural community leaders to share strategies for improving internet connectivity. Celebrating the accomplishments of the last two years, this third Summit brings together broadband experts and community members to share lessons learned and inform strategies for the year ahead.
The Summit will cover:
Engaging the community on broadband
Assessing internet infrastructure options
Funding broadband projects
Improving internet adoption & use
We expect to meet capacity for this invite-only event. There will be no day-of registrations.
By limiting the size of this Summit for local broadband working groups, we expect that community leaders will have the space to speak freely, learn, and share strategies, and that networking and breakout sessions will be highly productive for community leaders. If you are not a local leader on broadband, but would like to attend to see how we engage with communities on broadband, please contact Stephenie MacLagan.
