Casco Bay
Portland, Maine’s largest city and its economic cultural and commercial center, lies at the head of Casco Bay. Including the year-round islands of Peaks, Chebeague, Long, Cliff and Great Diamond islands, this busy region is characterized by medium-sized islands covered by oak and beech forests and lined with high bluffs or sandy beaches.
