Host a Volunteer

The Island Institute is currently accepting applications from Casco Bay Islands to host volunteers, starting in the summer of 2008. If you are interested in applying for a volunteer, you will need to complete a Volunteer Host Application. Before filling out the application, please read through Planning a Volunteer Position. You should also read through Supporting, Recognizing and Challenging Volunteers. This will help you develop quality volunteer opportunities and create a sustainable volunteer base for your organization. If you would like assistance in formulating your ideas, please contact Chris Wolff at cwolff@islandinstitute.org, or 207/594-9209, ext. 102.

Once the applications are received, they will be reviewed and Chris Wolff will contact you to discuss your application. Chris will then work on recruiting an appropriate volunteer for your project and will provide the volunteer’s contact information to the host agency/organization.
